2027: APM Conducts Nationwide Congresses, Affirms Makinde as Presidential Candidate

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has successfully concluded its nationwide congresses across the country, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening grassroots democracy and preparing for the 2027 general elections. Party leaders and delegates from various states participated in the exercise, which focused on consolidating party structures and charting a strategic path toward national leadership.

At the end of the congresses, stakeholders unanimously affirmed Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election. Party officials described Makinde as a tested administrator with a record of governance and national appeal, expressing confidence in his ability to lead a united opposition movement and offer Nigerians a credible alternative in the forthcoming presidential contest.
