The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and Allied People’s Movement (APM) have demanded credible polls and the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the 2027 general elections.

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and Allied People’s Movement (APM) have demanded credible polls and the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the 2027 general elections.

They urged governments at all levels to provide dividends of democracy to the masses that would ease the pains of economic hardship in the country.

IPAC National Chairman Yusuf Dantalle, in a statement yesterday to mark the Sallah celebration, urged the federal government to intensify efforts in the war against terrorism in the country.

He said: “As the electoral umpire, INEC must remain neutral and provide a level field to all the political parties and their candidates contesting various positions.”

Dantalle, who doubles as APM National Chairman, in a separate statement, tasked politicians to shun violence and other electoral malpractices as the country strives to build a decent democratic society that respects the sanctity of the ballot box.

“APM urges governments at all levels to prioritise the welfare of the people. Nigerians desire and deserve good governance.

“The interest of the people supersedes partisan politics. This is in tandem with the Allied People’s Movement’s ideology of the People First as seen in the two states the party is in power – Bauchi and Oyo States.

“As the fastest growing political party in Nigeria, APM will continue to put the people first as sovereignty resides in them. The party is ready to reset Nigeria and make it great again through the ongoing Great Alliance for the 2027 general election.

“It is time to set aside political differences and join the PDP – APM Alliance that fosters national security, unity, equity, inclusivity and prosperity,” he said.
